Leather Stain Removal Tips

Spots and Spills: Blot excess liquid immediately with a clean absorbent cloth or sponge. If necessary,
use clear, lukewarm water and gently wipe the spill. Dry with a clean towel and allow to air dry.

Stubborn Spots and Stains: Apply a small amount of Ivory soap to a clean, wet sponge. Use the
sponge on the stain.  Then rinse well and let air dry naturally. Commercial leather cleaners and
conditioners also are available to assist with cleaning and protecting your furniture.

Butter, Oil or Grease: With a clean, dry cloth, wipe away excess butter, oil or grease. Then leave the
stain alone, as the spot should dissipate into the leather. Do not apply water to try to remove a butter, oil
or grease stain.

TLC Tip: Know your leather type! Never use liquid cleaners on nubuck, suede or other buffed leathers.
If you are unsure about what type of leather you have, check with your furniture retailer or manufacturer.
